The local beer community got some very sad news this past weekend. Greg Fretz, co-founder of Phoenix Ale Brewery, has passed away after a battle with throat cancer. Fretz was a very influential figure in the local beer scene and, by all accounts, he was a genuinely great guy. He will be missed by very many people here. Between going to the Suns game last night and Thanksgiving today I got a little behind on the regular post again. I will be working on it tomorrow in between bouts of my wife making me put up Christmas lights and help decorate the tree.
